Luminous3D

3D OPTOELECTRIC DEVICE SIMULATOR

Luminous3D is an advanced simulator used to model absorption and photogeneration in semiconductor devices with arbitrary topology in three dimensions. Exact solutions for general optical sources are obtained using geometric ray tracing. This feature allows Luminous3D to account for arbitrary topologies, internal and external reflections are refractions and polarization dependencies. Luminous3D is fully integrated with ATLAS and the Device3D simulator and other ATLAS device technology modules. Luminous3D allows simulation of mono-chromatic and multi-spectral sources. It allows DC, transient, AC, spectral and spatial response analysis to optical source variations. Luminous3D also provides an array of models for surface lenslets to expedite analysis of imaging devices.
